Mr. Miah holds a Master of Commerce (M.Com) degree and has undertaken extensive professional development both domestically and internationally. His training includes a short-course residential MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka, along with advanced programs in corporate management, market economics, strategic financial management, leadership development, high finance, and results-driven strategic management.

He was awarded a prestigious British Technical Assistance Programme (BTAP) scholarship on Advanced Financial Management Techniques for Developing Countries at Strathclyde Business School, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK, further strengthening his global financial perspective and institutional expertise.

Throughout his career, Mr. Miah has held board-level and senior executive positions in several highly reputed organizations, including Khulna Shipyard Ltd., Paksey Paper Mills Ltd., TSP Fertilizer, Ghorasal Urea Fertilizer Factory, Khulna Hardboard Mills Ltd., Usmania Glass Sheet Factory Ltd., Rural Power Company Ltd., and leading industrial groups such as Opex and Sinha Group of Companies. He has also served as Senior General Manager in major public-sector entities, including BCIC, Bangladesh Textile Corporation, and BRTC, contributing to large-scale industrial and infrastructure operations.

Currently, Mr. Miah serves as Managing Director of Western Agro Products Ltd., a leading Rice Bran Oil manufacturing company in Bangladesh, and as Vice Chairman of WASO Credit Rating Company (BD) Ltd. His expertise extends to credit risk assessment, corporate governance, financial restructuring, and strategic oversight.

An accomplished thought leader, Mr. Miah has presented numerous technical and policy papers across SAARC countries under programs organized by SAFA, the apex accounting body of the SAARC region. He has also actively participated in international conferences, seminars, and workshops in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Nepal, and the United States, reflecting his broad global exposure.
